Junior School

Transitioning to the Academy shouldn’t disrupt your daughter’s developmental trajectory. In Year 7, we build your daughter’s sense of belonging to our community through activities like the Year 7 Camp, which brings together girls in a team environment that reinforces our vision and values. Our Big Sister/Little Sister program pairs an older Academy girl with your daughter to make sure she has someone who has been there before, someone she trusts, and who can answer her questions.

In Year 8, Academy girls begin to look outward at regional Victoria. A number of field trips and other excursions to places of significance in our state show Academy girls a different way of life as compared to the city. On trips to Ballarat, Hanging Rock, and Healesville Sanctuary, students investigate the natural world, horticulture, and agriculture in order to understand how city and country coexist and cooperate to sustain our lives.
