Middle School

In Year 9, students undertake the cross-curricula Synergy program. During a full term, students learn about sustainable Melbourne through in-depth discussion and actionable outcomes that arise from classes. From our location beside the Carlton Gardens, students have easy access to important learning and cultural centres around the CBD, including Melbourne Museum, the NGV, ACMI, universities, and other historical sites. They use their learnings to design, create, and present a robust case for how combining small individual changes can lead to large, positive effects.

In Year 10, Academy girls will have an appreciation and respect of our holistic environment. They apply their knowledge through careers planning and work experience, as well as selecting complementary subjects that match their interests. This starts them on a pathway towards the positive change they aspire to be. Students also have the opportunity to support traditional learning with educational travel to our sister schools in Italy and Japan, and study tours to France.
