Our Year 9 students were delighted to have much acclaimed Australian author Alice Pung speak to them about her life, the writing process and her novel ‘Laurinda’.
Alice is also the author of the memoirs ‘Unpolished Gem’ and ‘Her Father’s Daughter’, the novel ‘One Hundred Days’, the essay collection ‘Close to Home’, as well as the editor of the anthologies ‘Growing Up Asian in Australia’ and ‘My First Lesson’. She is currently the writer-in-residence at the University of Melbourne and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University.
