Hon. Ged Kearney was appointed to the federal government ministry in 2023. Ged‘s daughters [and past Academy students] Alex, Bridget, and Elizabeth attended the swearing-in.
Alex, a sports teacher at the Academy, commented: “It was emotional and wonderful. Ged was sworn in as Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care – a fitting role for an ex-nurse I think.
