VISION MISSION AND VALUES LAUNCH
On 20 April, Foundation Day, the Academy‘s new Vision Mission and Values statement (VM&V) was launched at a whole school Assembly.
As a collaborative document the VM&V defines the College’s aspirations, pathway and founding values as articulated by our College community; students, staff, parents, alumnae and represented community – who contributed to its development.
As a College with an impressive 161 year history it is affirming that throughout the years, the Academy – perhaps because of its great spirit of endeavour – has adapted to the times ensuring that the education offered has remained relevant in an ever changing world.
Sr Mary Moloney, Principal
The launch was marked by student involvement and College Captain, Rebecca Arena, led the College community in a commitment to the new Vision, Mission and Values. Rebecca then presented it to Sr Mary, acknowledging her stewardship in the College’s fulfilment of the statement.
The assembly closed with the Choir and Concert Band performing a song, newly composed by Mr Mark Hyland, reflecting the six Mercy values.
