Premier’s Awards

We are delighted to inform the College community that 2017 College Captain, Corin Powell, was acknowledged with a Premier’s award for Texts and Traditions at today’s ceremony (15 May 2018) at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Over 50,000 students sat for VCE in 2017, but only 274 awards were given.  A Premier’s Award recognises top performing students for their outstanding academic achievements in the Victorian Certificate of Education. Mr James Merlino, Deputy Premier and Minister for Education acknowledged the students with these words:

As the top students for 2017, your commitment has been inspirational and your achievements are exemplary. Your results are a culmination of an extraordinary amount of hard work and you have earned the right to be proud of yourselves. Congratulations to each of you.

On behalf of the College community, I extend congratulations to Corin Powell and in doing so, I also congratulate and acknowledge the hard work, dedication and expertise of Texts and Traditions teacher, Ms Amy Foster.

Sr Mary Moloney.
