Performing Arts at the Academy provides students with a space where they can freely express themselves and develop self confidence and creativity. The three key areas are Music, Dance, and Drama.

Drama

Drama at the Academy is a mode of learning that challenges and supports students to make meaning of their world and enables them to express and communicate ideas in the art form. As part of the school curriculum, drama can develop students’ artistic skills and creative dispositions.

The College production is an opportunity for students to sing, dance, and act in a musical. It also provides those who are interested in production itself with set design, stage management, costume design, and choreography skills.

Music

Our extensive instrumental and vocal music program focuses on the many benefits that music can offer a student. From neurological development, language and mathematical skills through to the overall joy of music. Our programs help students understand different parts of the world through the cultural aspects of music.

A brass, woodwind, string, and percussion ensemble, a choir, and a chamber choir, are among our music program and initiatives. Our Academy Choir perform at various College events providing broad enrichment to their musical experience.

Dance

Students passionate about dance can audition for the Dance Team, where they can experience and explore different dance styles. The Dance Team performs at school events.

The Dance Team’s performance opportunities include the Performing Arts Night, College productions, and assemblies.
