The Academy is a vibrant learning community which has as its core business the aim of preparing all of our students to participate as global citizens in this 21st Century.

Our teaching and learning programs strive to

  • foster a lifelong love of learning.
  • promote engaged learning for all students.
  • promote excellence and encourage all students to strive to fulfil their potential and to achieve success.
  • equip student to be competent, knowledgeable and experienced with information and communication technologies.

The College offers a comprehensive curriculum. College classrooms are technology rich environments with multiple opportunities for innovative experiences of e-learning and e-teaching.

At Year 7, students are introduced to the three LOTEs of Japanese, Italian and French. From Year 8, the students pursue specialised study of their chosen language. There are opportunities for overseas excursions for cultural and linguistic immersion in all three of these languages.

At the senior levels of Years 10 – 12, the College offers multiple pathways for students.

Alongside the study of VCE Units at Years 11 and 12, there are opportunities for students to undertake:

  • accelerated studies of VCE subjects with the possibility of including University Enhancement Studies within the Yr 12 program
  • the study of VET (Vocational Education and Training) units either at the Academy or externally through the IMVC (Inner Melbourne VET Cluster)
  • the study of VCAL (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning) units
